Description

The photograph was made for the 1960-61 school yearbook. Thanks to Sam Talley, who adds: "A 1958 Chevrolet Impala sits in front of the ordering window of this drive-in located on W. Market Street in Aberdeen. After placing your order a car-hop would bring it to you on a tray and secure it to your open window. Ice covered mugs of A&W root beer cost 5 cents, big mugs were 10 cents. The heavy glass mugs were treasured "trophies". Corn dogs cost about 20 cents. At night kids would 'cruise' around different drive-ins between Aberdeen and Hoquiam until after midnight. Gas cost about 25 cents per gallon."
