Description

Matt : " Pratch & Co. Photographers, Aberdeen, Wash."
Thanks to Sam Talley who adds: "This shows the RANGER, which operated out of Hoquiam and hauled freight up the Chehalis river and along the coast to places like Oyehut, North Beach, Pt. Chehalis, Copalis, etc. It is sometimes confused with the tug boat RANGER which came along later.  The photographer Pratch was an early settler of Wishkah. The Pratch family had a store, hotel, and other interests. Charles R. Pratch, the photographer, was Aberdeen's first Postmaster."
