This shows the Albert Schafer home before it was moved 1 block to the north to make room for the county administration buildings which are now located directly next to the courthouse. This was also before the home to the north was demolished and replaced by the one story home that is still on the corner. The old church (where Schafer's home was moved much, much later) can still be seen on the right side of this photo. The Schafer's were pioneer lumbermen for whom Schafer State Park is named.
