Army vehicle labelled "Gramm Bernstein". From negative series number 4921-4950. During WWI the United States Army Spruce Camps employed over 150,000 men in the Pacific Northwest. Soldiers and officers assigned to the Spruce Squadrons worked with civilian loggers to harvest spruce timber for the construction of fighter aircraft.
