Description

Thanks to Sam Talley, who notes: "The 'landing' was the place where the freshly cut logs were brought so they could be placed in a stream or river, loaded onto rail cars, or in later years, put on log trucks for transport away from the area. The logs are slid sideways onto the railcars. Big logs are loaded one log only on each car, smaller logs are chained together and stacked."
