This is a Puget Sound Iron & Steel Works "Tacoma" compound geared yarder. Polson had at least 50 donkeys by this builder at one time. Thanks to John A. Taubeneck for providing information. Note that the edges of this glass negative have lost portions of the image-bearing emulsion, especially along the bottom.
