Thanks to Sam Talley who adds this anecdote: "One time the Seattle legend Ivar Haglund of Ivar's Acres of Clams staged a publicity stunt: a professional wrestler was going to grapple with an octopus. A dead octupus was supplied by Bill Eardley from the Eardley Fish Company. The stunt was a success."
