An aerial view by Stan Spiegle. Thanks to Terri Middleton, who notes that Highlands, a public golf course, is located in Cosmopolis.
Additional thanks to Sam Talley, who notes: "In the 1950's Mr. Strada owned Highlands. Golfers would have their names imprinted on their good golf balls. They were called 'name balls'. Often they hit them into the trees and brush off the course and could not find them. Kids would scour the roughs and locate the balls as if on an easter egg hunt. We'd turn them into the office and Mr. Strada would pay us 25 cents for each one that was still in good condition and pay 5 cents for damaged ones to be used as practice balls. He returned them to their owners. Sometimes we could find 30-40 in one day. That was good money for a kid wanting to go to the Sautrday matinee."
