This aerial view by Stan Spiegle shows the ever popular Fleet Park in downtown Montesano. Fleet Park was dedicated August 24, 1946, and re-dedicated 50 years later. A new pavilion was added in the year 2000. A sign at the southeast corner of the park reads: Presented to the city and affectionately dedicated to the memory of our beloved parents David W. Fleet and Lillian F. Fleet who married in this city in 1884 and lived happily in this county for more than 53 years. Reuben H. Fleet and Lillian Fleet Bishop
