Image includes Washington Gas & Electric Co., First National Bank and Heikel Drug Store. The First National Bank building, located on the corner of 8th and I (Simpson Ave.), was built in 1912 and served as a bank until the late 1960s when it was demolished to make way for a new Peoples Bank structure (now U.S. Bank 2007). Much of the building was constructed of Tenino sandstone. The Grayport Hotel, Emerson Hotel, LaVogue Department Store, and Hoquiam High School are visible in the background. The drug store is Heikel's Drug, run by Ossi Heikel. Thanks to John Larson for contributing information.
