Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "The Morck Hotel was built in 1924 by Carl Morck at 215 So. K St. in Aberdeen. The 150-room hotel was advertised as "strictly modern fireproof". Many, many weddings, receptions, meetings, dances and convention functions were held there. This writer attended several formal high school dances "at the Morck". Its last 40 years of occupancy was as low income housing. It was then listed for sale at $1.8 million and scheduled to be remodeled to its former grandeur."
