Thanks to Mickey Thurman, who notes: "The Hoquiam Hotel was built in 1898 with the hopes of a new rail line coming to Hoquiam. The new rail line didn't arrive until 1898, so it was used as a boarding house until a devastating fire destroyed it on July 21, 1910. The hotel was located on the north side 8th Street, between M and N Streets."
