Memorial fountain at Wally W. Briggs' Swimming Hole, Electric Park, Grays Harbor Railway & Light Co.
Thanks to Terri Middleton who notes: "The plaque reads: 'WALLY BRIGGS' SWIMMING HOLE' BUILT FOR THE BOYS AND GIRLS OF GRAYS HARBOR AND DEDICATED TO THEIR HAPPINESS BY WALLACE W. BRIGGS, GENERAL MANAGER 1929."
Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "Wally Briggs was the general manager of the electricty making power plant. The swimming hole, built in 1921, was a cooling pond for the boilers that drew water from Fry Creek. The plant was put on standby in 1952 and was demolished shortly thereafter. Later in the 1950's a fence was erected around the pond. As kids we would scale the fence and catch trout in it."
