Thanks to Sam Talley, who notes: "In the mid-1950's this theater was on its last days. It was very musty smelling. Sometimes transients slept in it. They'd have Saturday matinees for kids and one time a jungle movie was featured. I mentioned the theater smell to an usher, and without skipping a beat she replied, 'its the jungle smell that we added. Neat isn't it?' "
