The old Canyon Court wooden bridge was torn down and the present bridge was built. In the summer, neighborhood children played in the creek, often damming it up so that they could swim in it. The court was a great neighborhood to grow up in. Thanks to Janet (Christensen) Davis for contributing information.
Thanks also to Sam Talley for adding this perspective: "Most people did not realize this creek (can't remember its name) ran into the bay. Lamprey eels would spawn beyond Canyon Court. My Latvian friends' father would smoke and pickle them to eat. I never was hungry enough to try them."
