This is a photo of a "core layer" (left) who catches strips of wood fed through the glue machine to coat with glue. The Core Layer lays the strips across the full width of the plywood. Then the two "Sheet Turners" (man & woman (right) lay two pieces of plywood on top of the stack while the Core Layer moves back to give them room to operate. As soon as they lay their wood the Sheet Turners jump out of the way to allow the Core Layer to get back in front on the glue machine to catch the next layer of glued strips. Then, when the stacks gets high enough its moved into a giant press where everything is essentially baked together. Thanks to Jim McCoskey
