Thanks to Dick Salick for sharing this story about the dredge ROBERT GRAY: "My Grandfather Don Brown Sr. was a leverman on this dredge and worked for the Port of Grays Harbor, learning his skills as a young man in Nome, Alaska on a gold dredge. Gramps came to the Harbor on the Robert Gray. Even spent time working this dredge in Girabaldi, Oregon. My brother John tells about going to work at night with Gramps on the Chehalis and cooking fresh crab pulled from pots... but you never took the biggest and always left some in the pots."
