Thanks to Kathleen Peterson who adds: "The Masonic Temple was the site of many proms as well as junior and senior high school tolos during the late 1950's and 60's, with live bands playing tunes like "Over the Rainbow". The dances were held upstairs in a very nice hall. On the society page of the Daily World was published a feature story describing what a lot of girls would be wearing along with their accessories to the prom. The girls worked hard decorating the hall prior to the event."
