Description

Image includes a smoke shop, Dr. Burley (dentist), Montesano Cafe, Kaufman-Leonard, Golden Rule Store, Gaston Moch Jeweler and Dr. Rambo (dentist).
Thanks to Terri Middleton, who notes: “Gaston Moch drove one of Monte's first cars to Aberdeen - the trip took an hour and a half at the posted speed limit of 8 mph.  Moch's son, Robert, was the coxswain of the University of Washington crew team that took the Gold Medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.  Their 8-man boat is preserved in the Conibear Shellhouse at the University.  To get to Berlin the UW team defeated the University of Pennsylvania's team coached by Rusty Callow - of Montesano.”
