Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "This small vacation destination was the classic old resort with its own gas station, grocery store, and basic cabins. Located off Highway 105 just north of Tokeland, it had ideal wading and swimming areas behind a large sand spit protected from the ocean. The shallow water was fairly warm with a lot of tiny crabs moving around under our feet. As kids in the early 1950's, it was our favorite vacation resort."
