This is the Day Motor Co., according to the Jones Photo Co. notes on the assignment envelope. This photograph appears on page 50 of William D. Jones' "Motor Cars and Serv-Us Stations" under the number 15464. Book caption reads : "Day Motor Co. Standard Oil Products and Ford dealer in Elma, Washington, March 12, 1938. For a small town, this facility was very impressive and many vehicles were sold from Day."
An anonymous informant claims that “this was in Elma at Young and 2nd Streets. It burned down in the 1950’s. The Elma post office now [2012] stands on this corner.”
