Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "The Breitenbush River and Hotsprings are located about 50 miles from Salem, Oregon and 12 miles from Mt. Jefferson and was a gathering place for Native American Indians before being homesteaded in 1904 and operated commercially in 1924. The hot springs continue to be a vibrant destination. The subsurface temperature is about 350 degrees F with a surface temperature of 180 degrees. The pools and suanas are about 120 degrees."
