Description

Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "Wally Briggs was the general manager of the electricty making power plant. This pond was dedicated in 1921. The swimming hole was a cooling pond for the boilers that drew water from Fry Creek. The plant was put on standby in 1952 and was demolished shortly thereafter. Later in the 1950's a fence was erected around the pond. As kids we would scale the fence and catch trout in it."
