13513_1 appears on page 45 of William D. Jones' "Motor Cars and Serv-Us Stations" under the number 13513. Book caption reads : "Gilmore Red Lion Gas Station at the corner of Wishkah and Jefferson Streets in Aberdeen, July 1934. Botsford, Constatine, and Gardner had the photograph taken."
Thanks to Sam Talley who adds: “Gilmore Oil Co. was founded in 1900 by A. F. Gilmore in Los Angeles. In the 1930’s the company operated 50 distributorship plants and 3,500 independent gas stations in California, Oregon, and Washington. By 1936 they had sold 98 million gallons of gas. In the 1940’s Mobil bought Gilmore. Today (2010) Gilmore memorabilia is very collectible."
