Jones' "Motor Cars and Serv-Us Stations". Book caption reads : "Joe Spencer in Aberdeen in October 1934 where severe winter storms and high tides flooded the downtown streets. Joe had an auto repair shop located in the 100 block of West Market Street, and got out his 1902 Buick or possibly an Auburn. According to a book on vintage automobiles, the Buick didn't arrive until 1904, yet there is a Buick emblem just above the white sign. The Auburn automobile was in existence in 1902."
Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "Although this car has a Buick emblem on the front it is not a Buick. It is similar to the 1902 but that year's car had tiller steering. Its not a 1904 because they had a radiator in the front. There were very few of either made. It must be a home-made contraption."
