Thanks also to Kathleen Peterson who adds: "On the left side of Simpson Avenue in this photo were the businesses of Realty Agency,  Willis Bunker's Men Store,  Capital Finance Company and a little ways up the street from there was Gambur's Restaurant -- a great place to eat in the 1950's. On the right side of this photo in the 1950's were these businesses: Dart's Stationery Store, owned by Mr. Hugh Dart;  Lundman's Gift Shop; Harbor Shoe Company, a locally owned business;  Simons Hardware owned by George Simons; Johnson's Juvenile Clothing Shop; A Wonderful Bakery; and lastly Thomas Flower Shop, which was located in the Emerson Hotel Building on the corner of 7th and Simpson Avenues directly across from the VFW Building."
Additional thanks to Don Moller, who adds: "Moller's Men's Store was next to Gambur’s Cafe which would be the left side of this view."
