Book caption reads : "Associated Drive-Through Service Station located at Heron and K Streets Aberdeen, 1935. This was the location of the very first Service Station in Aberdeen in 1917. It was so successful the owner Lee Bigelow wanted to open one in Hoquiam, about four miles away. However the bank in Seattle turned down the loan and said that one service station in the county was enough."
