Thanks goes to Jill Bellis for this recollection : "That is my sister in the Dodge Super Bee (her boyfriend's car). She was with our Grandfather, Nils Hill, a retired train engineer for Polson's. He wanted to be the first car over the new 8th Street bridge ... and he was! I think my sister got scolded for driving the car too fast, but she wanted to make sure she was the first car over!" The Super Bee is in the background behind the crowd, lined up in the middle of the street, ready to go.
