Thanks to Sam Talley who adds: “This ship is loaded and being turned around in the Chehalis River in South Aberdeen near Cosmopolis. My grandfather George Bowen helped load this ship. It capped a career at Bay City Mill that lasted one day short of 30 years. When ships were in, the crews worked 16-hour days, with no overtime pay. When the mill closed there were no 'thank you's", no retirement or anything. The men clocked out and that was it."
