Thanks to Sam Talley who notes: "The Meeker Shows carnival was owned by Ralph Meeker from Tacoma. He started it in 1943 and sold the various rides at auction in 1987 because of insurance costs, government regulation, and low attendance. The carnival traveled the western United States."
