Looking east on Wishkah at intersection of Broadway & Wishkah, Aberdeen. Image includes a Standard service station, Tom Birk's Cut Rate Drugs, Western Auto Supply Co., Liberty Drug Co, Typewriter Sales & Service Co. and the Elks Building. Liberty Drug was on the corner of Wishkah and Broadway. Thanks to Jim McCoskey for contributing information.
And thanks also to Sam Talley, who adds this story: "Next to Tom Birk's Drugs [behind the Standard Station] was a small hole-in-the-wall lunch counter named Nell's Lunch. Just to the right of it was a phone booth, visible in this photo. If you deposited a dime and quickly pushed the coin return, you would get the dime returned and your call would go through. All the kids knew about this. Also note the traffic signals had only red and green lights -- no amber."
